Challenge
Breathe Technologies were tasked with delivering an automated picking and packing system within pet retailer, Pets at Home’s Northampton distribution centre, where online orders are fulfilled. Highstream was brought on board to advise on and implement a virtualised server hardware infrastructure as a platform to run software from Breathe Technologies.
Solution
We recently partnered with warehousing automation supplier, Breathe Technologies, on an exciting project that they delivered for Pets at Home. In order to support them with this project, Highstream was brought on board to advise on and implement a virtualised server hardware infrastructure as a platform to Breathe’s software. We delivered the specification, procurement, build and installation of the servers within the warehouse.
Breathe Technologies’ system includes conveyor modules, packing machinery, automated label print / apply and intelligent routing and sorting. To support this, Highstream’s servers provide the foundation for Breathe’s MFC (Material Flow Control) software which interfaces between the PLC control system and Pets at Home’s host Warehouse Management System, giving real-time operational visibility and tracking capability.
We now support Breathe Technologies, and by extension Pets at Home, through our support desk, ensuring that everything continues to run as smoothly as possible so that they can continue distributing stock around the country.
